How do we say 黑社會治港 in English?
A useful expression we can use is “mob rule”, or more accurately “gang rule”.
Example sentence:
“Hong Kong is descending into gang rule.”
Another word we can use is “anarchy”, but that’s more like 無政府狀態 in Chinese - the complete absence of government in a society.
And finally, a word that many people will find apt to describe Hong Kong tonight:
“Pandemonium”,
which I will translate as 群魔亂舞.
Example sentence:
“Pandemonium broke loose in Hong Kong.”
